DRAG FINK'S 327

Dave Akard's Burbank Speed and Machine. Best racing engines in the Valley! Since 1968!
Here's yours truly with my Small Block Chevy 327. Almost ready for the dyno, then right into the Dragmaster dragster! I have vintage top fuel Mickey Thompson valve covers to keep the early 60's look. There's no way the front end of that dragster will stay on the ground!
Here's a cool shot of the Rochester tri-carb set-up on the Offenhauser intake. Real boss.

Ed "Big Daddy" Roth's Shop 1960's

The image below shows the location of where Roth Studios was located, when the above photo was taken. Thanks to Rod McCarrell for sending me the Google Earth image.

Hey Gang....... Dig this cool exterior shot of Ed "Big Daddy" Roth's shop in the early 60's. Some of the wildest cars, painting, pinstriping and monster shirts came out of here. This was at 4616 Slauson Avenue, Maywood, California.

ED "BIG DADDY" ROTH JUXTAPOZ COVERS

Hey Kids!!! Check out these boss Juxtapoz covers with Ed "Big Daddy" Roth on the covers. These are both from Sept/Oct 2001 and are a wonderful tribute to Big Daddy. Juxtapoz is a great custom culture magazine founded in 1994 by a group of artists including Robert Williams, who worked a lot with Ed in the early days.
