THE ONLY THING THAT'S ON THE INSIDE OF THIS COVER IS THE INTERNET. HA! HA! HA! HA! I FOUND IT WHILE SKATING THE NET.
BUT I WISH I COULD SEE THE FANG SPREAD IN THIS ISSUE. I'M SEARCHING FOR IT.

John "Mad Jack" Marshall here. Keeper of all thngs Fang. I have the mag and there ain't nothin' on Fang on the inside. No article. No nuffin.
George Schreiber thinks the picture was taken at Carlsbad, and as Fang had debuted at Lions in June of 65, it must have been shortly thereafter. The mag is Sept 65 so probably produced in late July and phot'd a little earlier. She has no sponsor stickers and the early exhaust side covers.
I just reckon they wanted yellow cars on the cover!!

I have the mag and it ain't got no articles, no nuffin. I reckon they just wanted yellow cars!!!
George Schreiber and I reckon its taken at Carlsbad in early June. Fang debuted at Lions on 16 May, in bare metal (with Roth's black writing) and didn't get the Diamond T yellow paint job until late May. She exploded and was badly burned on 23 July at Carlsbad and her next paint job was more golden.
Just a bit of Fangiana from the old bloke.
